Beta Testing Weekend #3 Incoming!
In the midst of all the hoopla of the Fan Site Summit here in Austin this week, BioWare announced that the third, and by far most massive Beta Testing Weekend so far is slated to go down soon!
Senior Community Coordinator Allison Berryman posted the details earlier today:
Invitations are being sent for a weekend test this weekend!
Sent Nov. 8: Beta Testing Weekend #3 Invites
Who was invited: Testers from North America
What was sent: Beta Weekend #3 Invites
Server locations: US East Coast
Invite status: We are currently in the process of sending these invites, and will continue throughout this evening.
It was mentioned during the closing minutes of the Fan Site Summit that the scale of this test is truly massive, so good luck to all! It was mentioned that this was limited to North America due to the need to see large concurrency numbers at the same time, rather than spread out across time zones.
Remember, if you are unsure about an email you get, you can always go to http://swtor.com/tester and log in with your account to verify your acceptance into the Game Testing program!

Beta Weekends invites are a myth. :)
Stephen Reid explained as the article mentioned that it was due to the necessity of testing in the same time zones.
I didn’t get an email… but I checked the testing page and I was accepted. So as always, don’t check your email, just check http://www.swtor.com/tester.
This is ridiculous, why is America getting all the beta weekends, Europe is just as big, we need some beta testing loving too :(
I would expect this to be one of the final beta weekends. If bioware knows they only need 5 days for their early access then now all they need to do is figure out how many people per day. Once they do that they will send out emails announcing when people’s access starts.
As far as European invites go, just because they send them to your region doesn’t mean you’ll get in. They are going to North America and I’ve been passed over every time. I realize no invites equals no chance, but the “we’re neglected” thing seems whiny to me. There are plenty of us no playing the beta right along side you boss. We’ll all be in a galaxy far, far away in 41 days (36 early access).
Please, ask BW if the BT weekend #4 will be for us, forgotten europeans. I really hope all the care will not be for the american players, before, and post launch. Thank you.
ugh, i keep looking at my email and there it is! an email from The Old Republic!!! oh wait thats a password reset… oh wait its a make sure your guild is ready…. way to get my hopes up! HAHA
lol I got the same two emails today. Unfortunately I already reset my password and my guild isn’t ready. Maybe we’ll get in though. They say they are sending them through tonight and tomorrow as well.

I got in but won’t be playing. I KNEW that I would get an invite for this and only this weekend…. the weekend that Skyrim comes out. Sorry but I’d rather play a game and keep my characters. I really dislike Bioware for inviting me this weekend. >.<

And why would you sign up for the beta if you would “rather play a game and keep my characters”? Beta by nature mean you don’t keep your toons.
UGH! I got an invite, and I’ll be out of town all weekend long. This sucks!!! Guess I’ll have to decline the invitation and hope to get in on any possible future testing….bah

I’m worried about Biowares community management.
It sucks. I will never get it an invite lol. I am beginning to wonder if their community thought about inviting me but then spilled a coke and accidentally twitched and invited the guy the dude above me lol
I got in, so that’s awesome. Going to have a few friends to play with too, so that should be cool. Either way, the game’s coming out in 36 days (for those of us who pre-ordered right away, at least), so the wait is almost over.

Great, another beta weekend for the people of North America … So far Bioware are doing a great job of keeping the North American market happy … whilst Europe gets nothing. I hope this isn’t their philosophy post launch!!
I got an invite yesterday for the weekend too.
Also pre-ordered skyrim while ago so it’s disappointing.
I’m not giving up the weekend test for Skyrim so I accepted.
Besides it’s my aunts computer i’ll be using anyway since i have mac. She will want it back eventually so I’ll have time for skyrim too!

Maybe as a european I should go more like “oh you’re from the us, thats a shame, I wont buy your game then”
