Game Testing Update + Beta Weekend #2 October 7th
In case you missed it, BioWare has stepped up their communication to fans about the Game Testing invite process and timing.
Yesterday BioWare Senior Community Manager Stephen Reid posted a thread o the official forums that serves to function as an “invite news ticker” of sorts. In the first post of the thread, you can quickly see what kind of invites were sent, who they were sent to and when they were sent
Then today, to the jubilation of many TOR fans, that thread was updated with new information! First, new Game Testing invites have gone out for players around the globe. Second, Beta Weekend #2 begins this weekend, October 7th, and invites have also gone out for that as well:
Beta Testing Weekends for Star Wars™: The Old Republic™ began earlier this month and during our first weekend, we invited more players into testing than we’ve ever invited before in a single weekend! Now we’re getting ready for another Beta Testing Weekend, starting on October 7th and finishing on October 10th. With increased invite numbers from the first weekend, even more of you will get to play The Old Republic.
It appears that quite a few people have been invited, so if you haven’t already go check your email, or better yet simply log in to swtor.com/tester to see if you’ve been selected!

Completely unexpected, and I got an invite to this upcoming weekend. I was satisfied with not getting a chance to play during beta since they announced a launch date. I don’t know what class I will try since I am saving the SI for release. One last note, I signed up on the official website 3 years ago, so I am not a newbie who got lucky!

I’m dissapointed. Pre-Ordered early, signed up for the beta way back and I’ve been following all the news for SW:TOR on forums and the official site. NEVER GOT A BETA INVITE.

Are there europeans invited? Because of the new build.
Don’t know for the regular beta but in the WE beta, we are quite a bunch from EU to be invited…
No invite for me, but get to hear a lot of bragging from my cuz who is in his second weekend. Plenty of weekends till launch though so all hope is not lost.
Don’t have an invite in my mailbox, and the sites down so I can’t check the tester page. Fingers crossed that I get in, though like one of the posters above me I’ll be saving SI for launch if I do get in.

i was invited during the sept 2-5 one too, but was on vacation that weekend. so this will be my first go! also, just as a side note, i’ve been signed up on the swtor site since feb 2009 and signed up for beta as soon as they began taking applications. i don’t know if there’s a factor about the timing of your applying and whether or not you get in.
