Blue Milk & Cereal: Will You Stay Loyal To Just One Faction?

No day would be complete without the breakfast of Jedi: Blue Milk & Cereal.  Every morning, the team at Ask A Jedi will get Force-induced thoughts coursing through your head with delicious issues from around the galaxy! Join in the discussion below to make your voice heard!

Factions. They’re present in almost every online game we play. You’re either good or evil. Horde or Alliance. Republic or Empire. You’re given the choice, and forced to live with it. Unless you decide to create a new character, of course.

So that raises the question, will you stick to one faction, or will you try out the opposing faction as well?

Sure there are people who will be stubborn and remain solely on one side of the fence, and that’s understandable. You might love one faction and truly detest the other. But in my opinion, to enjoy the game at its fullest, you’ve got to try it all. Am I right?

I knew I was going to be on the Empire the second I heard about this game. However, from the “Return” trailer, and just wanting to play like the badass that Han Solo is, I’m going to try the Smuggler out.

So what about you? Are you staying loyal to one side and refusing to test the waters of your opposition? Maybe you do, but you’ll avoid the “mirror” class of your main character. Be sure to vote and comment below on why, or why not!

  1. I plan on rolling both factions. There are 8 unique stories to be had and I want to enjoy all of them eventually.

  2. I’ll play on both sides, for a couple reasons.

    1. Friends, I have friends on both sides of the fence, and I want to play with all of them.
    2. Story, BioWare has spent alot of effort in creating the class stories and I have the intention of playing them all, eventually.
    3. ??????
    4. PROFIT!!!

  3. For the Republic. Period ;)

  4. I will definitely play both sides. I am a story nut, so I will likely touch almost every class before I am satisfied :)

  5. I can top both answers. My first main character has already switched sides. She was supposed to be a Jedi Consular and I had a ‘tempted by the dark side’ plot in mind, but when that guild disbanded, we decided to speed up the plot, so she’s now a Sith Sorcerer. One character and she’s already betrayed her allegiances. What can I say? I work fast.

  6. Republic only. They put a lot of effort into both sides but it would ruin my experience if I start doing the opposite of my main characters – not saving lives and being good but killing inocent people and beiing the bad guy…not for me. For the republic!

  7. In a game that focuses a lot of its attention to story, and as someone who has really appreciated that in past BioWare games, I will have to play all classes at least once to get the full experience.

So, even though I plan on starting with the Republic and having my “main” on that side, I will have characters on both sides.

  8. No point in cutting my game experience in half… I want to see what these writers have in store for me.
