We’re smack-dab in the middle of convention season, and one of the biggies is coming up at the end of this week – San Diego Comic-Con!
Each year around this time, San Diego becomes the center of the pop-culture universe as about 130,000 fans descend upon the city to attend the convention which houses everything from comics to toys to movies to video games… and more.
Over time, video games have begun stealing the thunder at the con, and may be even more so this year with some of the major movie studios sitting on the sidelines. That puts games like our beloved TOR squarely in the spotlight, with fans hanging on every word for that big announcement or reveal.
The main TOR panel at this year’s Comic-Con – Star Wars: The Old Republic: Join Us, It’s Your Destiny – happens this Thursday at 3:30pm PDT. It’s reasonable to assume that this will be the stage for TOR’s big reveals.
So, with that in mind… what do you think we’ll see from the BioWare boys & girls? Although I’m putting a poll below, this is really more of a discussion topic since it could literally be ANYTHING! So feel free to vote, but also discuss your thoughts in the comments below!

In that recent interview with Gamereactor Daniel Erickson talked about some kind of end-game content they haven’t talked about yet… maybe that’s the holonet tab or the purported legacy system.
I hope for that!
I no longer ‘hope’ for a release date, but I do hope for some sort of timeframe on the announcement of the release date. Is that sad? Probably.
That said, anything new will be welcome whole heartedly!
We have not heard anything about trains, or train stations, or train tracks in a while, so we *know* there will not be a release date announcement. I am hopeful for Collector’s Edition details. My suspicion is we will hear about a “new” in-game activity that they are planning for launch (another mini game, maybe?), or perhaps something completely unexpected that will somehow engage folks that are not necessarily MMO players.
I assume “Release date” will dominate this poll. Honestly, though, I don’t think we’ll get one. I’m hoping for whatever that mysterious final tab is all about. It’s probably playable races, in which case more official news and finalized lists would be a good thing.
PvP is a hot topic in the SWTOR forums so I think it’s time for more information to come out regarding how it will be handled in the game. From my personal want list, would really like to see the Jedi Consular showcased in the SDCC, throw the dog a bone.
It would make all the sense in the world for them to give us a release date at Comic-con. At the very least pre-order info.
PvP needs to be addressed. Release date info will just be a narrowed time frame at best. Honestly though I just want something substantial, no matter what it is.
Since they have yet to officially confirm that all playable species have been revealed, like they did with the planets, i’m hoping for more playable races
