Help Wanted

Ask A Jedi launched in June of 2010, and we’ve been growing by leaps and bounds ever since. We truly want to become an Outpost for Citizens of The Old Republic, and that’s where you come in!

We’ve got a robust content strategy and aggressive publishing calendar, and we’ll need some help to meet our goals! If you’d like to contribute your time and talents to be a part of, and help grow one of the leading fan sites for Star Wars: The Old Republic, read on!

All interested parties for any available role should have:

  • Fanatical tendencies for all things Star Wars: The Old Republic
  • Passion for and experience with playing MMORPGs
  • Being Force-sensitive is a major plus!

At this time, we’re looking for Contributing Editors, a Multimedia Editor and a Front-End Web Developer:

Contributing Editors

As Contributing Editor, you’ll play a key role in the creation and delivery of editorial content to our readers. You’ll have to demonstrate your ability to communicate an idea clearly from start to finish, and make it interesting in the process.

What we’re looking for:

  • Writing experience – doesn’t need to be professionally, but we will need samples
  • Strong command of the English language, including grammatical expertise
  • Knowledge of the AP Stylebook a plus (we’ll provide you with a copy)

At this time, we’re looking to bolster our resources including but not limited to these topic areas:

  • All Classes (Focus on game mechanics and roles)
  • PvP
  • Raiding
  • Crafting
  • Lore
  • Social/Guilds
  • Role-Playing
  • General Community Coverage

Front-End Web Developer

As a Front-End Web Developer, you’ll help us implement features and functions on the web site according to our engineering plan. You’ll have to demonstrate your experience and ability through providing example sites, describing your involvement and specific responsibilities.

What we’re looking for:

  • Expert-level experience implementing functionality within online publishing platforms (WordPress a plus)
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS
  • PHP and MySQL a plus

Multimedia Editor

As a Multimedia Editor, you’ll work with various sources of video and audio, such as trade show or interview footage, and bring it all together with slick editing, snazzy titles & motion graphics and overall high production values.

What we’re looking for:

  • Advanced knowledge of modern digital video and audio editing tools and techniques
  • Understanding of optimization techniques for web & mobile distribution
  • Final Cut / Mac workflow preferred
