The MMO Report: G4's Uncle Casey Talks To BioWare's Uncle Blaine

If you’re more than just a casual MMO gamer, you’re probably familiar with The MMO Report on G4 TV hosted by Casey Schreiner. But if you’re like me and have DirecTV, which has removed G4, you can now only see the MMO Report on the web. But that’s ok, because it’s the same on the web as it is on TV!

So, embedded below is the most recent episode, which appropriately enough is the E3 2011 Special. Since there was no lack of MMO news coming out of E3, it’s an episode chock-full of good info.

But we’re interested in The Old Republic, right? Since that’s the case, you can skip right to 12:40 in the video to see Casey discuss the finer points of TOR with Senior Live Producer Blaine Christine.

For the hardcore followers of TOR, there may not be much new information in here, but we do learn that Tatooine is content that is still considered in the first “chapter” of our class story.

So needless to say, if you’re reading this, you should check it out!

E3 2011 – Eternity Vault Preview At GameTrailers

Another great segment yesterday was GameTrailers interview with BioWare’s Gabe Amatangelo where he revealed footage of and talked about raids, known as Operations in The Old Republic, for the first time!

The preview shown of the Eternity Vault, the first Operation in TOR is nothing short of amazing, and any MMORPG raider should be in awe. The environments and the action appear to surpass the best of what other games have to offer.

We suspect we’ll see some of this on SWTOR.com soon, but for now, have a look on GameTrailers!

E3 2011 – Alderaan Content Preview At GameSpot

In case you missed it, GameSpot yesterday published a new interview with BioWare Writing Director Daniel Erickson where they take a look at group content on Alderaan.

This particular preview is great for players who fear that the open world may not contain any group situations or quests, and this illustrates that’s simply not the case.

BioWare has said that the Alderaan preview content will be available on SWTOR.com in the coming weeks, but for now, enjoy!

E3 2011 – Daniel Erickson & Corey Butler Video Interviews

Aside from all of the other info that came out of E3 for TOR fans today, there were a couple of external interview videos released as well. It appears they both came out of some sort of media day recently at EA’s Redwood Shores office. They don’t provide any real new information, but they do sort of cover things we’ll see at E3, and there are some tidbits here and there!

First up, Machinima talked to Daniel Erickson, and the end result is the usual entraining and engaging talk that DE always delivers:

E3 Community Meet & Greet Details Announced

Today, the Star Wars: The Old Republic community team released the details of the E3 Community Meet & Greet next week during the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles:

Are you going to E3, or do you live in the Los Angeles area and wish you were? Join the STAR WARS: The Old Republic team for a night of casual conversation, frivolity and drinks! We’ll be heading up to the Figueroa Hotel Veranda Bar after E3 on Wednesday night, and we’d love for you to join us. Stop by, grab a drink on us, and share your love and excitement for The Old Republic with the developers of the game! E3 badge is not required for entry.
