E3 2011 – New In-Game Screen Shots

Even though it’s only Day 0 of E3, we’ve already gotten some awesome stuff… I mean, what more could we ask for than a brand-new Blur-created cinematic trailer? Well, screenshots of course!

Below are some new in-game shots of various content on Tattooine, as well as Vehicles… and some that appear to be inside some sort of Flashpoint, maybe the Eternity Vault Operation? The filenames were labeled as “Ulgo” so there’s no telling at the moment. We’ll learn more this week!

Looking at these screens, it’s very apparent how the game is shaping up graphically… very noticeable progression each time we see a new batch of screens!

Enjoy!

E3 2011 – New Cinematic Trailer Revealed: Return

Today as part of Day 0 of E3 2011, BioWare released an all-new, if highly anticipated, cinematic trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic!

There was some speculation in the weeks leading up to the event that there would be a new cinematic, however there were skeptics (myself included) that didn’t think they’d do another just yet. But, I’ve never been happier to be wrong.

But this isn’t just any old awesome cinematic trailer. This is the actual intro trailer that will play when we log into the game for the first time!

As was the case for the previous two cinematic trailers (Deceived, and Hope,) Blur Studios handled the production duties for this one. I know I’m not alone when I say that I would pay good money to see an entire Star Wars movie made by Blur.

Anyway, no words I can write will do justice for what you will see below. Just click and watch!

E3 2011 – Razer Announces New TOR Peripherals

[UPDATE] Razer has launched a site for their SW:TOR peripherals: http://www.razerzone.com/swtor

If you’re a fan of Razer’s gaming products (and if you’re an MMO player, you’re no doubt familiar with their current offerings, like the Naga,) then you’re going to be quite excited at their new offerings!

Today, Razer has announced that they’ll be producing some special edition gear just for Star Wars: The Old Republic.

These new products include a mouse, keyboard, headset and “gaming mat”, all themed for TOR. It’s not clear if there will be two editions available: one for Empire, one for The Republic, but we’d like to think so.

Razer is on the show floor, so we hope to get some hands-on with the new peripherals (even if it’s not while playing TOR) and see how they feel!

E3 2011 – Daniel Erickson & Corey Butler Video Interviews

Aside from all of the other info that came out of E3 for TOR fans today, there were a couple of external interview videos released as well. It appears they both came out of some sort of media day recently at EA’s Redwood Shores office. They don’t provide any real new information, but they do sort of cover things we’ll see at E3, and there are some tidbits here and there!

First up, Machinima talked to Daniel Erickson, and the end result is the usual entraining and engaging talk that DE always delivers:

Next, in an official EA video, Corey Butler gives an overview of the game as well as new E3 stuff:

Both videos are well worth a watch if you’re an avid TOR fan. And lets face it… if you’re reading this, that’s you :)

E3 Information – What Should We Talk About?

With the recent sneak-peak video reveal on GameSpot, we now know a bit of what to expect from Star Wars: The Old Republic at E3 next week!

While we’re at the expo, we’ll be partaking in a 15 minute, one-on-one interview with a select BioWare developer (who it will be depends on availability.) And I can tell you from experience, that 15 minutes will fly right by! So, we want to make it count.

It seems like BioWare is ready to talk about quite a few things now. So what should we focus our time on? Should we grill them on operations and progression? Maybe a deep-dive into companion character progression? Or perhaps the newly revealed vehicle system!

I don’t think we can go wrong with anything, but with only 15 minutes, we want the most bang for the buck.

So what say you? What should we focus on? Cast your vote below! And if you have something specific, let us know in the comments!

What area of TOR would you like to hear more about from E3?
