StarWars.com Posts "Deceived" Excerpt
Although the book isn’t scheduled to be released until March, the fine folks over at StarWars.com have just posted Chapter 2 from the upcoming Paul S. Kemp novel Deceived.
MALGUS LET HIS ANGER BUILD with each step he took toward the Temple’s entrance. The Force responded to his emotional state, caught him up in its power until he was awash in it. He sensed the seed of fear growing in the soldiers’ guts.
Deceived is set in The Old Republic time period surrounding the sacking of Coruscant. This will be a must-read for any Star Wars: The Old Republic fan!

An Excerpt from the upcoming "Deceived" novel
Thanks to the Galactic Holofeed for the heads up on this!
Paul Kemp, the author of the upcoming “Decieved” novel (due out this December,) set in The Old Republic, as updated his blog with an excerpt.
It’s interesting reading as it depicts the exact moment that Darth Malgus enters the Jedi Temple during the sacking of Coruscant. Here’s a short excerpt; click here to visit Paul’s blog for the whole thing!
Read MoreMalgus took one last look around, at the children and their parents playing, laughing, eating, everyone going about their lives, unaware that everything was about to change.
“Come,” he said to Eleena, and picked up his pace. His cloak swirled around him. So, too, his anger.
Moments later, he received another coded transmission, this one from the highjacked dropship.
Jump complete. On approach. Arrival in ninety seconds.
Ahead, he saw the four towers surrounding the stacked tiers of the Jedi Temple, its ancient stone as orange as fire in the light of the setting sun. The civilians seemed to give it a wide berth, as if it were a holy place, rather than a place of sacrilege.
He would reduce it to rubble.
He walked toward it and fate walked beside him.

Behind the Scenes at Blur Studios
Well, this sure beats the heck out of a regular old Fan Friday!
It seems that the legendary Blur studios, who produced last year’s epic “Deceived” trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic at E3, will be at it again this year. And Spike TV will have a “behind the scenes” look at the making of that trailer on Friday night at 11:00pm EDT.
The community buzz seems to be that this might be a more Republic-skewed trailer, since they took such a shellacking in the first one, and a large portion of the game updates have been Sith related. Only time will tell.
So be sure to tune into Spike TV on Friday at 11:00pm (or set your DVRs) to see a preview of one of the biggest, baddest things we’ll likely see at E3!
In the mean time, check out their promo teaser here.
