Vote For ‘Deceived’ In GameTrailers User’s Choice

GameTrailers.com is about to kick off their countdown of the Top 100 Trailers of ALL TIME! It’s a pretty weighty task to narrow it all down to just 100, but I guess if anyone can do it, it’s GameTrailers, right?

The countdown officially kicks off on Thursday, September 1st with the reveal of videos #100 through #81. You can see the entire schedule here.

Ok, so that’s cool news and all, but why are we writing about it here at Ask A Jedi? Glad you asked…

There’s a separate User’s Choice Video where you can cast your vote for 1 of 20 pre-selected game trailers. There is some formidable competition on the list, ranging from Batman: Arkham Asylum to Halo 3 and everything in between. But we all know the best trailer on the list: Star Wars: The Old Republic: Deceived!

The vote is being held on Twitter, so you’ll need a Twitter account to cast your vote, but if there was every a reason to have one, this is it! Plus, you can then follow us on Twitter ;)

So head on over to vote for Deceived!

Star Wars Books Now Available Electronically; Includes Fatal Alliance And Deceived

As you may have heard recently, the vast library of Star Wars books was slated to be released in digital format.

Well, yesterday was that day! As of June 28, 2011, you can now purchase all of these great novels, including those titles set in The Old Republic – Fatal Alliance and Deceived.

Border’s Online book store has a great page where you can browse and purchase every novel in eBook format, and it’s set up by era and in chronological order!

Currently absent from the list is the upcoming Old Republic novel Revan by Drew Karpyshyn, but can pre-order the hardcopy in the mean time.

If you haven’t caught up on Fatal Alliance or Deceived yet, now would be a great time to do so… you may have just enough time to read them before TOR is released ;)

Deceived Author Paul S. Kemp Facebook Chat

UPDATE – The chat with Paul S. Kemp has ended, you can view the transcript here. There are some interesting tidbits on Malgus and Ven Zallow… If you’re one of the TOR faithful, check it out :)

Just a reminder that tonight at 6:30pm EST, author Paul S. Kemp will be doing a live chat on Facebook.

Kemp is the author of the recently released Star Wars™: The Old Republic™: Deceived novel, which of course is set in The Old Republic and tells the tale of Darth Malgus.

If you’re a fan of TOR and haven’t yet picked this book up, I recommend doing it soon! I’m not finished with it myself yet, but the consensus is that it’s great, and doing well on Amazon.com.

In the mean time, head on over to Facebook to chat with Mr. Kemp!

It’s a big day for fans of Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, as the second novel set in The Old Republic gets set to release!

Star Wars™: The Old Republic™: Deceived, written by Paul S. Kemp, chronicles the story of Darth Malgus, and his rise to power:

You can preview the first three chapters of the book online:

There’s also a trailer for the book here, which seems to contain previously unseen cinematic footage of Darth Malgus.

The book hits store shelves today, and is also available in hardcover, audiobook and e-book formats from online retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders and more.

If you read the novel, we’d love to hear what you think!
