Friday Update: Corellia has arrived! Plus Blood of the Empire #11
It turns out the subtle hints and leaks were true: Han Solo’s home planet will be playable in Star Wars: The Old Republic!
Home to some of the Republic’s most influential leaders, the notoriously independent world of Corellia is of critical strategic significance. It’s been a symbol of personal and economic freedom since the Republic’s earliest days, and it’s become the center of all the Republic’s industry and enterprise. Despite long-standing evidence of corruption in Corellian government, the citizens’ have always been staunchly loyal to the Republic. Losing contact with the planet and receiving images of destruction has caused grave concern in the Senate for what may be happening on the ground in Corellia’s capital.
It sounds like the planet, like many other Republic planets, is under some state of duress. But it looks like the public transportation system is still working though… our heroes can take the bus!
You can view the Holonet page for Corellia by clicking here! And don’t forget the new screenshots, concept art and wallpaper.
We’re also treated to issue #11 of Blood of the Empire:
In the eleventh issue of Blood of the Empire™, Teneb Kel faces off against his enemy, Exal Kressh, for the final time. Two Sith apprentices, both aware of the secrets of the Emperor, now locked in battle in the tombs below the Sith Academy on Korriban–what will become of them? And who will choose the future of the galaxy?

Friday Update: Blood Of the Empire Issue #10
Today, we get Blood of the Empire issue #10, as Teneb Kel chases down his foe on the Sith homeworld of Korriban. It’s not clear if that’s all that’s coming, but given that this Friday is sandwiched in between GamesCom last week and PAX next week, I think it’s reasonable to assume we’ve gotten lots of info, and lots more to come soon.

Star Wars Celebration: Day One
Well, today was the first day of Star Wars Celebration V here in Orlando, and what a day it was… Even though I live here, the humidity was oppressive and it was what seemed like a 2 mile walk from the parking lot to the main convention hall. But nothing could put a damper on the mood for the day!
Today wasn’t a big day for TOR-related information. There was a Dark Horse comics panel, where among other things they discussed Threat of Peace and Blood of the Empire. Also, Issue #2 of Threat of Peace was released (see cover below.) We’ll have more on that, including our discussion with Dark Horse later in the week.
Tomorrow however is a big day, as the first panel, The Art and Writing of Star Wars: The Old Republic is up at 2:00pm and the developer meet & greet takes place from 5:00pm at the Hoth Ice Bar (which is very cool, no pun intended :)
The show floor was very lively, and there was no shortage of the opportunity to purchase virtually anything you could think of with the Star Wars name on it. There was also the expected assortment of costumed guests, ranging from Sith to Jedi and everything in between. I gotta give props to some of these people – the work they put into the costumes make them indistinguishable from a movie prop.
Below are a few random photos from the day, but of course stop back tomorrow for coverage of the panel at 2:00pm. We’ll be doing live Twitter updates here, and will try to also do live blog updates if the connectivity allows.

Friday Update: Nar Shaddaa and Comics!
This Friday’s update brings us the first playable planet announcement that we’ve had in a while… in the form of a moon! Nar Shaddaa, The Smuggler’s Moon, has officially been announced:
Circling the planet Hutta is its largest moon – Nar Shaddaa, the ultimate corrupt city. Dominated by underworld concerns and owned by the Hutts, this sprawling mass of skyscrapers is considered one of the most dangerous and exciting places in the galaxy, where anything can be had for the right price.
In addition, we also get Issue #8 of Blood of the Empire:
In the eighth issue of Blood of the Empire™, Teneb Kel is confronted with a strange and frightening vision of the past, the future, and of his greatest enemy. As he lies broken in the Lenico wasteland, he must seek the truth about Exal Kressh and the Emperor’s goals within his mystical dream–or be utterly destroyed when he returns to reality.
Finally, we get a reminder that the original web comic, Threat of Peace, is now available in print from your favorite comic retailer:
