Friday Update – The Esseles Developer Walkthrough!

And on this Friday, we’re given a huge peek into the game yet again! The Esseles Flashpoint was previously showcased at San Diego Comic-Con, and you can view here the difficult choices that players there had to make.

The Esseles, a Republic transport that carries some of the most high-profiled members of the Galactic Senate across the galaxy, has come under siege from the opportunistic Grand Moff Kilran. Dallas Dickinson guides you along as a group of Republic heroes must band together to repel the Imperial boarding parties and retake their ship in this Developer Walkthrough.

Narrated once again by the incomparable (and beardless) Dallas Dickinson, it details the Republic’s perilous first instance where they…well, I won’t spoil the video for you yet. However, a nice coincidence of the video is that we get to see one of the many morally-ambiguous decisions players will be presented, and it goes to show that not every answer will be easy – and not every solution will be clean.

Side note/random observation: the phonetics of the Esseles is pretty close to SOS.

Head on over to the main site and check out the new video or watch the embedded Youtube link below.

  1. They really proved their point with how important choices are in this game, I still don’t know what I would do!

  2. Shapeless says:

    Awesome walkthrough.

Great look at some “live-action” moves from the Republic’s characters.

I still really like the Consular, but that Trooper is a total badass.

  3. Very cool. The most impressive thing to me so far is how awesome every single class looks, and not just the Force using ones.

  4. Shiny! It’s crazy how awesome that is to watch, and those characters aren’t even lvl 10…i mean c’mon! Though i miss the beard..

The only problem I can see with this is that from watching that, there will be people who think it means they can lightsaber dps as a Consular with a single saber. I’m sure people will not realize this is pre-AC and try to argue that this confirms single sable DPS for Consulars. Just wait for it… :)
