SDCC 2011: Gentle Giant – The Old Republic Collection

Gentle Giant have long been known as makers of quality collectibles across multiple brands such as Harry Potter, Marvel and of course Star Wars.

They’ve even dabbled with characters and collectibles from The Old Republic, including Darth Revan, Shae Vizla, the female Bounty Hunter first seen in the Deceived cinematic trailer and most recently, Darth Malgus as will be included in the Star Wars: The Old Republic Collector’s Edition.

RebelScum.com paid a visit to the Gentle GIant booth at Comic-Con this week and snapped some shots of The Old Republic products, including closeups of the Malgus statue and an all-new mini-bust of Shae Vizla.

Sadly, I am a sucker for these types of collectibles so it has been an expensive week for me between the Collector’s Edition and Shae Vizla mini-bust. But, no expense is too great, apparently, to express my obsession with The Old Republic!

Now, if only Gentle Giant would give the Republic some love…

Head on over to RebelScum.com to check out all the pics!

  1. The smuggler from the Return trailer would be cool for a Republic figure. And the unnamed trooper. Not too sure about Ven Zallow, the Darth Malgus figurine would just break it :)

    • Lethality says:

VERY much agree with you on the Smuggler… heck I’d just be happy to know his name at this point. I’d wager his last name is either Eastwood or McQueen…!

  2. I would just like any republic stuff. Feels like blizzards biased towards the horde all over again. I know many will disagree but with the bounty hunter getting a second armor progression plus all the screen time that the Imperials get it’s hard to not feel that way.

I just could be a Republic fanboy, but I am not unsympathetic towards the Sith. I do feel bad for the Republic trying to wipe their race out… might even say they deserve the pounding they are taking… but I am still waiting for the smuggler and consular.

Oh yeah when are they changing the consular page >:(
