SDCC 2011: Revan Cover Art Revealed

Comic-Con doesn’t even officially start until tomorrow, but tonight is preview night and we’re already seeing some interesting stuff emerge!

One of the highlights for TOR fans, other than the game itself, has to be Drew Karpyshyn’s upcoming novel Star Wars: The Old Republic: Revan. Readers have been promised to learn something about what really happened to Revan when he left for deep space.

Well today, we got our first look at the cover art… take a gander below for what is a site for sore eyes for fans of Knights of The Old Republic!

Even though the novel itself isn’t due until November 15, author and BioWare writer Drew Karpyshyn will be on-hand at Comic-Con for signings, as well as the developer meet & greet at BioWare Base. Here’s his schedule if you’d like to catch up with him:

Revan Cover

  1. Interesting that he’s wearing the Revan mask, even though he’s using a green saber. Seems to indicate maybe this is pre-KotOR, so he has the mask though he hasn’t gone full blown Dark Side. Or, it’s post-KotOR and he’s wearing the mask even though he’s Light. Or, of course, it could just be to look cook, show us the iconic mask, and not create an image of him that is definite without the mask.

Also, outside the windows behind him, can’t help but think that looks like Dromund Kaas. Perhaps Revan is challenging the Emperor? Just speculation, but certainly a very cool image!

well, they can’t really show Revan’s face, since he was one that we all individually chose during KOTOR:I lol… and yeah i’m interested to see where in his story the book begins and how much leeway Karpyshyn was given to fill in the gaps of SW lore

  2. Green lightsaber?? I thought Revan wielded a purple lightsaber (before turning).

What’s the source for the cover art?

that looks epic!!! i can’t wait to get a little more in depth info about Revan’s journeys to deep space. IMO he’s the most interesting star wars character. i just wish i was at Comic Con to meet Drew Karpyshyn… his Darth Bane series is awesome
