Star Wars™: The Old Republic™: Deceived Releases Today!

It’s a big day for fans of Star Wars™: The Old Republic™, as the second novel set in The Old Republic gets set to release!

Star Wars™: The Old Republic™: Deceived, written by Paul S. Kemp, chronicles the story of Darth Malgus, and his rise to power:

Over 3,500 years before the rise of Darth Vader, another Sith Lord’s name commanded fear and respect across the galaxy: Darth Malgus. The mysterious Sith Lord orchestrated the destruction of a prominent Jedi Temple, setting the stage for the tenuous peace of the Treaty of Coruscant.

You can preview the first three chapters of the book online:

There’s also a trailer for the book here, which seems to contain previously unseen cinematic footage of Darth Malgus.

The book hits store shelves today, and is also available in hardcover, audiobook and e-book formats from online retailers such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders and more.

If you read the novel, we’d love to hear what you think!

  1. I may read this, I am not a huge fan of how Drew Karpyshyn writes, so hopefully Kemp is a bit better when it comes to writing style that I enjoy.

    • Lethality says:

Yea, same here. I’m not much of a novel reader, don’t have the patience for it, but would like to get the background out of this one considering its setting in proximity to the game!

  2. I plan on picking it up because I love this particular era of Star Wars in general.

And if anyone is interested, I’m forming a Republic guild focused on casual players who enjoy role-play.
